About Dr. Hollomon
I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics, which is a fancy way of saying I’m a bit obsessive about how the body works under stress. Before starting RVA Endurance PT, I founded PT Crab, a clinical research newsletter that helped over 2,000 healthcare professionals stay current on the evidence.
I like reading scientific papers. I like it even more when that reading perfects how someone gets treated. So I stay on top of the research like no one else.
I built this practice because I kept seeing the same problem: endurance athletes getting generic rehab advice from providers who don’t understand training load, race timelines, or why “just rest” isn’t a real answer.
I’m an ultrarunner, cyclist, swimmer, and climber myself. I’ve raced everything from crits to ultras, and I train year-round. That matters because I know what it feels like to have a season on the line and need a plan tailored to me, not something generic.
My approach is hands-on, evidence-based, and built around keeping you moving. I come to you, whether that’s your home, your gym, or your trailhead. I do a full movement analysis to get to the root of your problems and I don’t stop until you feel stronger than before.
We’ll find what’s actually driving the problem, build a plan that respects your training, and get you back to the work that matters to you.
